One Room Challenge: Week 7
Good Evening Great People!
Tonight’s blog is really a self reflection of my journey. As I prepare to take my One Room Challenge pictures tomorrow for the big reveal next week! It’s a testament of how far I’ve come in my craft. This didn’t come over night, but of many long nights of working like this one. My hope to anyone who follows my journey; is to not give up on their dreams, but to chase them with everything they have. To know with hard work, dedication, and in YOUR time it will all pay off. I’ve put my all into this room. Honestly, I’ve taken parts from my home to make sure this room doesn’t miss a beat. I’m truly proud of this space for many reasons. I mean just look at this before picture.
What I’m most proud of is my attention to detail and how I’m letting my voice be heard in our current times. I wasn’t sure how I could speak out and let my followers know I’m not blind to what’s going on. I’m mad, sad, and frustrated too. This One Room Challenge has been my therapy and I hope you hear my voice once it’s revealed.
Here’s a sneak peek of my guest room. This piece was actually donated for my office, but due to budget concerns I had to redirect. I’m so happy I was still able to use AnnLettered piece in my space. This piece was intented to be hung horizontal, but once I saw it I said, “NOPE vertical it is!” Because no matter what life throws at me I’m still dripping ;)
Make sure you check out all the designers participating! We are almost to the finish line.
Sincerely,
Lauren Ashley
